The Tinkering program is run by Steve MacDonald and is a space where young people can ‘tinker’.
They create things, they dismantle engines to have a look at how they work, they sand bits of wood to create walking sticks or Harry Potter wand holders, there are tools and materials to work with, there are safe conversations, laughter and smiles.
It is a place where creative ideas can manifest and it promotes curiosity, independence and self confidence.
Steve describes Tinkering as:
“The process of doing something for a specific purpose; or for the sake of activity alone. An end product created; or nothing at all.”
