Our experienced Speech Pathologists work alongside individuals and families to support speech, language, social understanding, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and safe eating and drinking. Bridging International Clinical Innovation with Local Care
At Able2, we are proud to house specialised expertise for individuals living with Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), the most common inherited cause of intellectual disability and the leading known genetic cause of autism spectrum disorder.
Our Speech Pathologist, Sara Velenich, is a nationally recognised specialist in FXS. Beyond supporting local families, Sara actively mentors and supervises speech pathologists all across Australia.
As a testament to her expertise, Sara is a featured presenter at the 20th NFXF International Fragile X Conference in Texas, USA, delivering her clinical session:
“Supporting Communication Efficiency in Fragile X Syndrome (FXS): AAC, Gestalt Language Style, Fluency Challenges, and Regulation.”
Sara’s work is built on a vital core principle: just because someone can speak, it doesn’t mean they can communicate easily. Through her international research and local practice, she brings cutting-edge strategies in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), unique language processing styles, and regulation directly to the Able2 community.

Whether she is mentoring a local colleague or speaking to an international audience, Sara brings expert skill, warmth, and a helpful spirit to the Fragile X community.
